Migynon asked:

After a few years I decide to go ahead and put my notice in. I work for the residence home and I love my residents, but our new ED was just so hard to get alon with. I was the only person cleaning a whole front section which had over 30 some rooms. I ask for help I never got it I did this for almost a year by myself. She would come in and walk by and not speak just act like she hated the world, what really got to me she would bring her cha wa wa puppy and it would do its business on the carpet in the hall, not just 2 times. She would bark all day down the hall and the ED would just stay n the office and not even come out. She would *** on the carpet so when I would vacuum all that smell would b in my vacuum. I clean up dog **** at least 3 times because I didn’t want the residents to step in it. That really was enough for me and she was the reason we had lost alot of workers. The company thinks she is grand because she is all about budget and saving money. She’s not professional at all when it comes to people she is hatful I stay as long as I could for the residents because I loved them but then I had to think about me. So she let me work out my 2 week notice but when I call the payroll office and let them know, because I have vacation time they look it up and she still had me active in the system. She was suppose to take me out of the system, now I think she wants to give me a problem about my money , what can I do because I have alot of hours of vacation. I have been nice and I let the head office handle it but if I don’t hear anything this week I will call the other head people. She is just so selfish and I have never met anyone like her. Help!

neilson

Now he goes out enough and he only does this whilst we are out…most of the time when he has just been out and done his business. He will not do it if we are in. I am ok with the bathroom floor cause its easy to clean up than on carpet. When we come home you can tell he has been naughty cause he cowers in the corner…I ignore it and just clean it up whereas my husband will show it to him and tell him off and to go to bed..subsequently giving him attention. We both ignored it for awhile to see if it was attention he wanted but he has not stopped. Is he annoyed at us going out??

therdel

keeperofella asked:

I am currently renting a house. We had a slow leak in a pipe and didn’t notice it for a couple of weeks. After moving some furniture we found mold on the carpet. Now we are having a hard time getting the landlord to take care of it. Professional carpet cleaners told us that the carpet would need to be removed, and we told the landlord that. She wants to replace the padding underneath the carpet and treat the mold with baby powder and have the carpet professionally cleaned, which she says will “neutralize” the growth of the mold. Does anyone think this sounds safe or could be true? We have kids including two 11 month old babies and are not comfortable with this.

claclay

catsealpan asked:

I have a 12 week old 1/2 pug, 1/2 chihuahua (chug). His name is Gizmo. We have had Gizmo going on 3 weeks. I have another dog, Cleo ( 1/2 jack russel, 1/2 unkown). She is 3 years old. We have had her since she was 1. We adopted her from the SPCA. She was already potty trained, house trained, and ready to go. She is a wonderful dog.

We bought Gizmo from a friend at work. She had bought him from a breeder for her granddaughter but the granddaughter wouldn’t work with him, potty train him, or clean up after him. She sold Gizmo to me for 1/2 the price she paid for him.

I am trying to crate potty train Gizmo. It has been tough. We have been working hard for 3 weeks now. I only work 3 days a week so I have time to spend doing this. I take him out every 1.5 to 2 hours. When I take him out – we are out there about 15-20 minutes. He wants to use this as play time and not use the bathroom. As soon as we come in the house, he has an accident in the house. I am at my wits end! When he does go outside – I do all the praising – and occasionally give him a treat. When he goes inside – if I catch him – I make a loud noise to try to disrupt him and immediately take him out. I’ve then been cleaning up the mess with vinegar (I’ve read that it helps take the animal odor out of the carpet so they won’t detect). If I don’t catch him, I clean it up and take him out without trying to make much fuss. He will even be in the same room with me when he does it. Like I might be standing there folding laundry and he will do it. Or I will be at my computer desk and he will do it. He also has at this point the smallest carrier/crate that I can get (its just enough room for him to stand, lay down, maybe turn around) . He even pees in it throughout the night! I take him out at 10pm, he wakes me up anywhere from 1-2 times between (3-5AM), and then again at 8AM and goes potty! I keep chew bone in it and small toys. I have the potty pads out in the hosue but he doesn’t seem to be interested in that either. Not that I want him thinking its okay – I want him to go outside. I’ve read everything imaginable to try. Treats, praise, no fuss, blah blah…

Another thing is I’ve been working with him to try to sit. A basic command – I’d think. I use treats. But he just isn’t getting it. I use to not have to put him on a leash. He wouldn’t walk on concrete (sidewalk, and driveway). Now he is walking everywhere. I have to put him on a leash now – because he runs away (I know he thinks he is playing). But I will tell him to stop, sit, come. (We’ve been working so hard on these commands for short periods just 1 or 2 times a day- but it isn’t working). He has actually even lost most interest in the treats. And I don’t understand the whole play all the time thing because he gets atleast 2 good hours of play time in everyday!

I think Gizmo has a mind of his own. He wants to do what he wants to do – period. I’ve read that dogs want nothing else but to please their owners…I have to wonder about it with Gizmo. With Cleo – I’d say it is absolutely true. Gizmo is cute and cuddly. I want this home to work for him and him to work for our home (our family). Cleo has taken him in as one of her own. She occasionally will get after him after doing his business in the house. So please help with:

1. What do I need to do to get him potty trained (to go outside)?

2. Besides of hiring a trainer, how can I get him to learn the basic commands?

3. My dog is not phazed by ‘doggie’ treats anymore – any other ideas?

4. Currently, we leave his dog food bowl out with his water bowl – and just let him eat as he wants it. I was thinking about changing it to a scheduled feeding once a day. Say his 1/4 – 1/2 cup of dog food at supper time. I thought that maybe – this would help keep better track of when he might have bowl movements and less frequently. Ideas?

5. Are their any other ‘home remedies’ to getting the smell and stain of both of the dogs bodily functions out of the carpet?

Any other ideas/suggestions – are welcomed! Thank you!

litruj

shuddabin1 asked:

She is 11 months old and is still not house trained. I have done everything I can think of to train her and I am stumped. I still wake up in the middle of the night to take her outside b/c she will soil her cage before morning. I continually take her outside every 3-4 hours, when she wakes up, after she eats, after playing with my other doberman, before bed and when she starts to do circles. I have thoroughly cleaned my carpet and used a spray that gets rid of the ammonia smell so she doesn’t continue to soil the same area. I have bought her a new cage b/c she ******** her old one many, many times and the smell had soaked into the plastic. I tried the keep her on the leash inside so she doesn’t get an opportunity to have an accident and the keeping her in her crate until she has success outside. I reward her for doing her business outside with a treat which she understands b/c she sits for her treat once she goes. I have been to the vet to inquire about her kidney/bladder b/c she should be able to hold her bladder longer than 3-4 hours by now and her urinalysis came back within normal limits. The next step is blood work to check diabetes etc. She is very obsessed with water to the point she licks the shower walls after you shower.

I desperately need help.

Thank-you

jessie

Chrissy asked:

My dog had diarrhea last week, so I rented the rug doctor steam cleaner that day to get it out. It worked great on the stain! Now my entire bedroom smells like cat ***! it’s really really REALLY gross! and it’s traveling throughout the apartment! I’ve tried those powders and stuff all week, and it helped a little, but it still stinks! I think I may have re-wet urine when I steam cleaned the carpet(I live in an apt so who knows who lived here before me). Anyway, I **** the litter box smell and I think it may be messing with my sinus bc I have a stuffy nose, but i’m not sick. Any ideas on how to get it out? Like I said before, it’s an apartment, and since I didn’t make this stink, I don’t really want to have to replace the carpet. I clean up after my dogs, so they don’t ruin the place. I feel like i’m penalized enough by other people not cleaning up after their animals bc it’s harder for me to get an apartment(since I have pets), I don’t want to have shell out cash I don’t have for a new carpet too.

billy
