Have you tried the new Resolve with Oxy. Quick story, my dog at a bag of cheese popcorn and it stained my brand new carpet. I tried everything to get it out and nothing worked. Six months later, I bought the Resolve on a whim just to see if it work, and it got it all out. No my stain and no reside of old orange stain. Of course, this is for spot stain removal and not a whole carpet. I use a steam carpet cleaner for doing the whole carpet.

    Hope this helps.

Nothing is going to beat a professional cleaner or a rental steam cleaner, but for stains and regular cleaning there are some industrial strength cleaners sold at Lowe’s or Home Depot that don’t hurt your carpet.

WooLite Heavy Traffic can spray. You can find it just about anywhere and it works really well.

Woolite carpet and upholstery cleaner works well and if all else fells save money and buy a personal carpet and upholstery cleaner and but the hoover carpet cleaner in green bottle. a little expensive but you get lots of uses and its resists spills if cleaned up within about 5-10 min. I love it
