it depends on the type of shampoo used ask your carpet guy
I know that they do have pet/child safe cleaners..I get my carpets done every other month….I am a little OCD about clean carpet…lol
To be on the safe side I would find a company who simply steams the carpets, no chemicals. Steaming will clean them without leaving any harmful residues.

As long as you don’t put the baby on the wet floor it should be fine.

I wouldn’t do it. There are very harmful chemicals in carpet cleaning solutions. Try to find a company that offers a “green cleaning” solution.
