Can’t see what the problem is. Wash mould with bleach to destroy it, rinse it off with clear water. Keep children away till it dries, problem solved.
Where’s the fuss coming from. Replace underlay, use good brand of carpet cleaner, problem solved sounds like big con to me.
make a couple of bags of kitty litter and put them in the cabinets of the bathroom and in the closet or behind the couch wherever the mold seems to go and that will help! get freezer zip lock bag fill them with kitty litter and punch little whole in them
Hi – I have never heard of baby powder killing mould. The only thing i know that actually kills the spurs is bleach.
Not sure where you are but i work in Property MAnagement in NSW Australia and the landlord has an obligation to ensure the property is mould free as it is a health issue.
Replacing the underlay with definately help – provided the ground underneath is dry. Probably best to pull the effected area of the carpet up for a few days to allow the slab to dry, then replace the underlay and clean the carpet with a bleach. Also try placing a mositure absorber near the area to help.
not unless it’s bleach baby powder…EWW tell her she needs to replace it. you could pull up the carpet bleach the sub floor change the padding and have professional cleaners come in but it would probably be cheaper to just replace the carpet.
